Wonderful painting experience with local artist
Scheduling a fresco painting class with Aerma Polani in her Villa home and studio was a highlight of our trip. Coming off of touring Pompeii and seeing the beautiful frescos and then meeting Aerma Polani who has taken her love of fresco art and developed it into her own style while maintaining the authenticity of the ancient manner of creating these works of art was truly a unique and wonderful experience. She welcomed us into her Villa home, demonstrated the manner in which she collected the natural pigments to use in the paintings, showing how to create the fresco, then sharing appetizers and listening to music from her terrace was truly memorable. Both she and her husband were friendly and hospitable showing us their home which they are clearly proud of and rightly so. Would return again to visit and create another fresco to bring home as a memento of our trip. She is a wonderful artist in her own right, author, and local resident of Vico Equense that makes a visit to her studio worthwhile.

Book this experience! Our extended family visited the region and connected with Aerma Polani through our villa. This was a highlight of our time in the area, especially after finishing our visit to Pompeii. She is a talented, knowledgeable and passionate artist and is sharing her love of the art with others for future generations. Our ages were from school aged children to grandparents. Everyone took home a tangible memory of our time here, something we will never forget.

Aerma was a super nice and helpful person from the start - she helped us learn about the ancient techniques regarding creating masterful frescoes, which helped us understand how the old masters created those masterpieces. It’s amazing that there are artists like this still keeping this style alive, and we need to keep this up! Nice studio and very intriguing work.

Aerma Polani studio was amazing!!!! We attended a Fresco Painting class. We were so enthralled at this amazing process of art inspired by Pompeii and Italian history. Her and her husband were incredibly welcoming and hospitalible. The tour of her art workshop and gallery was exceptional. Her paintings were inspiring and so full of feeling. She walked us through the process with ease and was extremely helpful. We highly recommend this class for any level. I also bought some of her artwork. I was just enraptured.
